TDT has emerged as a leader in the development of innovative molecular diagnostics and therapeutics that can improve the quality of life of patients with colorectal cancer and gastrointestinal malignancies.

Focused on innovative research and cutting edge technology, TDT has developed highly specific tests to detect colorectal cancer cells in lymph nodes from patients who have undergone surgical staging for colorectal cancer. The information derived from this test can assist physicians in making decisions about the administration of chemotherapy to improve disease-free survival. A similar test has been developed for the detection of circulating colorectal cancer cells in blood. This determines that patients undergoing post-operative surveillance for recurrent colorectal cancer remain free of disease. Intensive research and development is being conducted on treating metastatic colorectal cancer with novel therapeutic agents specifically targeted only to those cancer cells.

 

TDT has established procedures to conduct our diagnostic tests on tissue and blood samples supplied from doctors and hospitals throughout the world. These tests are performed in our state-of-the art laboratory facilities in West Chester, PA. The tests can only be ordered by a physician and results are reported directly back to the ordering physician.
